British Marine Federation appoints new helmsmen
The British Marine Federation and its subsidiary National Boat Shows have two new people at the helm.
Jon Eads, managing director of MDL's marina division, has been handed the presidency of the BMF, the marine industry's trade body.
And Paul Strzelecki, the joint chief executive of Henri Lloyd, has taken over the chairmanship of NBS, the company that organises and runs the two biggest boat shows in the calendar - London and Southampton.
The pair take over from Peter Methven and Alan Morgan.
Eads, who has been involved in the marine industry for 30 years, said: "I am delighted to have been elected President of the BMF. Peter Methven has been an invaluable President and will be a tough act to follow.
"But I look forward to working with the BMF executive to continue the excellent work that takes place to ensure an invaluable service to its members and the marine industry."
Strzelecki said: "The industry's two vital boat shows - London and Southampton - are excellent showcases for the industry and I hope that working with the team we can continue to make them as successful as possible."
