Sunborn Yacht Hotel to leave Docklands
London Docklands is set to lose one of its most familiar floating landmarks. The Sunborn Yacht Hotel is reported to be leaving its berth alongside the Excel Centre in the Royal Victoria Dock for a new career in Africa.

The Lagos state government is reported to have paid £20 million for the 5,800-tonne vessel which will be towed away on 6 August. Although Sunborn, which has become a familiar sight for visitors to the London Boat Show, looks like a cruise ship, it has no engines and was built specifically for use as a hotel.
