Motor Boats Monthly Cruising Club

Cruising Club

Welcome to the launch of the 2012 Motor Boats Monthly Cruising Club programme. This season marks our 26th year of running cruises in company and we have put together an exciting itinerary with some beautiful and enjoyable destinations, as well as an extra-special, once-in-a lifetime event to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

If you have cruised with us before, welcome back and we look forward to seeing you again in the coming season. For those new to the Cruising Club, our aim is to provide partcipants with a safe and enjoyable summer cruise in the pleasurable company of like-minded individuals.

New or experienced, the MBM Cruising Club always has something to offer, and we promise we will do our utmost to ensure you have a great time.

The programme

We start the year with a cross-Channel trip to France and the Channel Islands. A firm favourite with our readers, this cruise combines two French ports with stops in the two largest Channel Islands, Jersey and Guernsey. There is also time in the itinerary for trips to both Herm and Sark and, if the weather allows, we may even squeeze in a visit to Alderney, too.

If great value French wine and the cheapest boat fuel you will find all year isn't enough, we have also scheduled this cruise to coincide with the liberation celebrations on Guernsey. On 9 May 1945, British troops landed in St Peter Port and officially freed the Guernsey people from occupation, and the islanders certainly know how to celebrate.

Our second event takes us into the heart of London over one very special weekend. We have secured a limited number of berths in St Katharine Docks during the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. These berths, available to MBM subscribers and Cruising Club members, are rarer than the proverbial hen's teeth and offer a unique opportunity to take part in the Jubilee festivities and watch the 1000-strong flotilla sail through Tower Bridge with Her Majesty leading the way.

Our final event, the MBM Summer cruise, will be a two-week trip to northern Brittany. We'll be visiting numerous ports on the Brittany coast with stops at either end of the cruise in the Channel Islands to take advantage of the cheap fuel. We've even managed to squeeze this cruise between the UEFA Euro 2012 football championships and the Olympics, so you won't miss out on your favourite sports.

Ultimately our cruises are designed to be relaxing and fun, so read on for more information and visit www.motorboatsmonthly.co.uk
