Day 5 – Channel Islands & Brittany Cruise

The fleet bask in the sunshine at St Helier Marina

With a rest day ahead of them crews have enjoyed a lazy day in Jersey. The weather has been warm and muggy, and in the afternoon in the sunshine people were basking on their foredecks.

This morning the MBM team were presented a lovely box of cream cakes as a thank you from Tony and Amanda on Beneteau Antares 30S Free Spirit. I can report now at 17:11 they ‘were‘ delicious (they did not last long in the fridge). Thank you very very much Tony and Amanda.

Crews have been getting out and about the island, the young family onboard Sealine SC35 Aurora have been to the safari park this afternoon. Their raft neighbours Fairline Targa 44 Breeze also with a baby, hit the beach.

Neale and Ryan have been tending to some seriously clogged primary fuel filters aboard Cleopatra Camargue 46 Time Lost. As you can see from the pictures, the fuel filters needed to be changed and the clear bowl Racor housing were in desperate need of a clean. In the meantime Richard has been assisting with ongoing job of a domestic water leak on board Windy Chinook 44 Breda. Owners Peter and Sue were without running water last night and a part has been flown in specifically from neighbouring island Guernsey.

Soon we will we will getting ready to go off to the cruise dinner at the St Helier Yacht Club.
