SIBS presence up to manufacturers

The British Marine Federation, owner of the Southampton Boat Show (SIBS), today announced that the manufacturers of boats represented by PetersOpal will have to decide whether to exhibit their boats directly at next month's SIBS.
PetersOpal, which is a dealer for Bavaria and Island Packet yachts and Azimut and Rodman motorboats, went into administration yesterday, leaving a big blank hole in exhibitor space at SIBS.
These boatbuilders now have to decide in a hurry whether or not to take on the task of exhibiting their boats directly at the UK's premier boat show.
Meanwhile, the BMF has confirmed that Brian Peters is still its president, and will remain so "until further notice".
