Lundy Island closed to boaters

Boat owners are being asked to steer clear of Lundy Island until early next month. Torridge District Council and The Landmark Trust have closed the island to visitors while a virulent stomach bug is eradicated.
The virus has affected more than 50 people, both visitors and staff, and every property and public building will be sanitised to try to bring the outbreak to a swift end. It is hoped that the island will be reopened on 4th October.
