A lifeboat which has been stranded on Rathlin Island for weeks has finally been freed.

Previous attempts to rescue the Portrush lifeboat Katie Hannan, which was hit by a freak wave three weeks ago were unsuccessful but this afternoon a tug managed to free the 40 tonne boat.
