In January's MBM, which hits the newsstands tomorrow, we feature the results of the most comprehensive rope cutter test ever undertaken by a magazine.

Six of the biggest rope cutter brands on the market took part in the experiment - Stripper, Gator, Spurs, Plastimo, R&D, Prop Protector and Shaft Knife.

We threw everything at them: polypropylene and nylon rope, monofilament and nylon netting, heavy-duty tarpaulin, copper cable and finally steel wire.
