New motorboat unzips the ocean
- Mon, 23 Aug 2010
A Japanese artist has created the world's first ocean zipper.
Yasuhiro Suzuki created the strange motorboat for the Setouchi International Art Festival in Japan.
The unusual shape means that the zipper boat is still undergoing sea trials to make sure it doesn't roll over when it hits full speed.
The zipper ship will travel between the port town of Takamatsu and Megijima Island during the festival and will also carry passengers once the health and safety officials are sure it is not a deathtrap.
