Windfarms contribute little to the overall energy requirements. The norm is that the wind is too strong or too little for them to generate the quoted power.

\I am against these wind farms as they will be an eyesore against the seascape we have all come to love over the centuries. There are other ways of power efficiency lets think of the birds, wildlife and our natural views.

Contrary to popular belief, wind power does work - in a normal wind year, Europe produces almost 200TWh of electricity from wind farms. Arguments over 'spoiling the view' etc. are rather insignificant in the face of global climate change and reliance on foreign oil and gas.

Wind Farms do not make economic sense - during the recent period of High Pressure they would have generated little to no power (requiring standby capacity). They are also an eyesore wherever they are. They are an extremely expensive White Elephant.
