Sealine UK is no more as brand is sold overseas

The Sealine brand has been sold to the parent company of Hanse, investment company Aurelius AG, which plans to sell the 380 and 450 models abroad

Speculation has been rife since Sealine was placed into administration on 30 April, but yesterday it was confirmed that Sealine UK is no more as the brand has been sold to an investment company that plans to build and export the 380, (previously the SC35), and both the S450 (the SC42) and the F450 (F42) boats abroad under contract.

A statement from administrators, Baker Tilly, said,”The Joint Administrators have sold the Sealine brand to a newly founded subsidiary of Aurelius AG, a pan-European investment holding. The remaining unfinished boats in that series have been acquired by another entity whose intention is also to ship those assets overseas.”

Aurelius AG is the parent company of the German Hanse Group, which manufactures Fjord boats and Hanse Yachts.

Baker Tilly said the remaining 34 Sealine employees would now assist with the disposal processes and removal of assets from the Kidderminster factory, which will be put up for sale shortly.
