Beaulieu Weekender

Want to visit Beaulieu this weekend? Then use our guide to ensure you get the most out of the experience

As part of our brand new WEEKENDER series, this month we bring you Beaulieu.

For utter seclusion within splashing distance of the Solent, a weekend in Beaulieu is hard to beat. There are only a few places on the south coast where you can find real tranquillity, peace and natural beauty, and Beaulieu is one of those few.

Nav notes
As you enter from the Solent, there are two channels, one cutting through Gull Island and the other coming from the east. Unless on springs high tide, it’s best to approach from the east as Gull Island dries out and is poorly marked.

Mooring
You can choose from a visitor berth at Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour or piled pontoons and mooring buoys in the river. Call the harbourmaster on 01590 616200.
