Jeanneau Sun Fast 36

Competitor, cruiser or compromise, the Briand-designed Jeanneau Sun Fast 36 set itself an ambitious task by trying to appeal to such a wide range of sailors.

Early success in several European regattas drew the attention of racing folk, justifying her builder's claim to good performance early on. Since then, one of the world's biggest charter operations, Sunsail, has shown its confidence in the design as a performance cruiser, well suited to charter operations too. With a fleet shortly to reach 40 boats this is perhaps all that Jeanneau need as an accolade.

But what makes her so suitable for two diverse roles? Yachting World reported openly and frankly on her in the February 94 issue.
