How to tie a cleat
A warp off to your boat’s cleats will secure the vessel to the dock or a line to your boat.
Making a warp off to a cleat should be the easiest thing in the world, but there are a couple of pointers that help ensure the rope is not given undue stress while keeping it secure. The rope should be led to the cleat so that chafe is kept to a minimum. Ensure your rope is not kinked by passing it around the cleat corner furthest away from you first.
